Educational Activities/Events/Milestones
As the Nation went on lockdown on March 24th, due to pandemic COVID – 19, Chinmaya Organization for Rural Development was advised to send back the children who have had contact with their guardians, based on orders from CWC and Andhra Pradesh State authorities. However, three children who had no place to stay are accommodated in the Ashram.
Most of higher, secondary and college going students returned to Chinmaya Vijaya ashram with the clearance of Child Welfare Committee (CWC) in the month of December 2020. All children got tested for Coronavirus which resulted negative.
All the remaining primary, higher secondary and college going students returned to Chinmaya Vijaya Ashram as their schools and colleges reopened in the month of January 2021.
In the month of February four children by names Bellamkonda Veda Nanditha of age 6, Bellamkonda Anushka of age 7, Tadekoru Lakshmi Sai Kumari of age 8 and Bathula Saranya of age 6 joined newly in our Ashram with the proceedings of CWC, Guntur.
All the children were promoted to next higher classes and who completed their 10th class were admired into Junior Intermediate, four of them joined Sarada College and three joined NRI College and are taking online classes. Higher grade children attended Personality Development online classes conducted by Suveerananda Swamiji.
Children who completed Senior Intermediate appeared for NEET and EAMCET exams in the month of September. M. Divya completed B.Sc. Anesthesia first year and was promoted to second year.
All the Junior Intermediate and senior intermediate children passed their board exams and secured good marks. Congratulations to P. Likitha as she got 9.8 GPA (out of 10 GPA) and remaining got above 7.5 GPA.
A. Tirupatamma, RVR & JC Engineering College, completed her second year Semester – II theory and practical examinations with 82% percentage.
Special congratulation to N. Tirumala, St. Joseph Dental College, as she has won the Gold Medal in her BDS second year theory examinations.
B.Sc. Nursing students completed their second-year semester II examinations.
On 18th October Suveerananda Swamiji counseled all the children who completed Intermediate and their guardians about their future studies, plans and suggested the best courses.
All higher secondary students, Intermediate juniors and seniors and B. Tech students started going to colleges and are attending their regular classes from the month of December 2020 by following guidelines on social distancing as well as safety precautions.
S. Bhumika of NRI Engineering College, Guntur completed her 1st year Semester II examinations.
BBA students of Viswa Vidhyapeeth University at Kerala, V. Naveena, V. Sowjanya and S. Mounika had completed their 2nd year Semester I examinations.
As more attention needs to be given to what happens after completing Intermediate for all girls, Swami Suveeranandaji counseled and guided them once again in the month of January 2021 to take the courses which enable them to graduate with job-ready skills that they would like to study eventually.
Senior Sarada college MPC students Falthi Kumari, Sandhya, Chandrika participated in the JEE Mains exams during this month.
Tenth class students completed their Revision Test – I and II.
U.KG to 9th class students completed their Formative I,II,III and Semester- I examinations through offline/online.
Donations In India
- Crane Nut Powder company donated rice of 200kgs (April 2020).

Camps and Cultural Events
Sri Rama Navami was celebrated on 2nd April in the Ashram.
Hanuman Jayanthi was celebrated on 8th April.
Swami Suveerananda organized Pujya Gurudev’s Birth Day Celebrations on 8th of May and Dr. Apparao garu and Sumathi Amma joined vigorously in the celebrations.
Drs. Apparao garu and Sumathi Amma were here during this quarter and used to visit the Ashram regularly.
On 25th October CV girls celebrated Dasara festival. They did puja in the early morning and arranged Bommala Koluvu creatively.
CV girls worshiped Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha on Diwali on 14th November. They had good time with fire crackers, which were donated by Mrs. Madhavi garu. They shared their happiness by having sweets. On November 30th Karthika Pournami puja was done by the CV girls.
After a tumultuous year wreaked by the Corona virus pandemic, the Chinmaya Vijaya children welcomed the year 2021. The New Year celebration is a time for joy, great pomp and show that one more year loaded with sweet recollections and cheerful times has passed. To welcome the New Year with open arms, deliciously baked New Year cake was sponsored by Mrs. Sridevi garu and was distributed to all CV children.
On 13-01-2021, the auspicious day of BHOGI, CV children made a bonfire of old things to welcome the new. They went around the ‘Bhogi Manta’, signing of the significance of the harvest festival. On 14-01-2021, the second day Pongal was celebrated with colourful ‘Sankranthi Muggulu’ and by having delicious Pongal. And also children celebrated Makar Sankranthi by sharing their happiness with their loved ones.
CV girls celebrated 72nd Republic Day by hoisting the National Flag in the honor of the date when the Constitution of India came into effect.
Visitors
Sri Sharadchandra Srikande, a world renowned mathematician and resident of Brahma Vrinda (Senior Citizen Centre) for nine years passed away peacefully at the age of 103 years. Many Dignitaries including Shri Alapati Rajendra Prasad Garu and NRI Directors attended Dadaji ceremony on May 1st and prayed to Rest in Peace.
On 1st April B. Mano Ranjani garu, Assistant Project Director from CWC Guntur, visited CV to see well being during CORONA effect.
On 17th September Smt. M. Gowri Shankari, CDPO, ICDS Project., Mangalagiri., had come for home inspection as per government protocol.
Smt. B. Sri Krishnaveni, Deputy Transport Commissioner., (Prakasam Dt.) came to Chinmaya Ashram. She was interested in motivating our BPC Students towards Naturopathy and Homeopathy which she was familiar with.
On 23rd September, Anasuya Seetamraju garu visited ashram along with her daughter Vagdevi, MBBS student in NRI Medical College and donated clothes to CV children.
Dhanush and his friends from Guntur donated groceries, biscuits and chocolates to CV children and Mrs. Sowjanya from Rain Tree Park gave some biscuits and chocolates due to celebrate her daughter Sanjana’s birthday.
On 06th December 2020, V.B.H.Prasad garu donated 30 blankets and distributed sweets to the children on the occasion of his daughter Sai Ramya’s birthday.
K.Sreedevi garu from Pedavadlapudi visited ashram on 08th December 2020 and donated material for school uniform and distributed oranges to all in the memory of her mother Suseela garu.
On the occasion of Honorable C.M. Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy garu birthday on 21st December, Prof. Raja Shekar P the Vice Chancellor of Aacharya Nagarjuna University sponsored Rs.4000/- and distributed apples to all.
On 17th January 2021, Bhaskar Reddy garu from Kaza village celebrated his birthday and distributed oranges, guavas, apples and bananas to all.
On 07-02-2021 Devi Maha Lakshmi garu, her son Vinay and his friends from Vijayawada came to CV and counseled higher grade students and motivated how to set goals. They also suggested some tips to reach their goals. They gave some groceries and distributed oranges, books, pens and chocolates to all.
Anil Chakravarthy garu, the President of Rotary Club of Mangalagiri and group members along with Tuition Masters Vijaya Mohana Rao garu and Saidulu garu visited CV on 23-02-2021. They celebrated 116th Anniversary of Rotary Club, Mangalagiri by cutting the cake and distributed 20 small school bags and books, geometry boxes to the CV children.
On 24-02-2021 Mrs. Lakshmi garu (Staff of CV) celebrated her daughter in law Sirisha garu birthday and distributed sweets and some snacks.
On 04-02-2021 Sharadananda Swamiji, CIF visited CV and blessed all children. On the same day Anjali and Maya, the grand daughters of Apparao garu sent pen & pencil pouches to all.
On 18-02-2021 N.M. Sundar garu and Arundhati garu from Chinmaya University, Kerala had visited CV.
On 08-03-2021 K. Baji Babu celebrated his son Dharshik birthday and distributed sweets. Also gave mats, spoons and water bottles to all.
Dr. P. Rajasekhar garu and P. Aruna garu from Nellore, visited ashram on 07-03-2021 along with Dr. M. Apparao garu. They suggested to read few motivational books and distributed sweets to all. Same day Mrs. Vani garu and ladies staff of Pioneer Autoworld, Mahindra Showroom Guntur, celebrated Women’s Day with all the CV children by cutting the cake. They also gave some vegetables to Ashram.
On 13-03-2021 Dr. Vijaya Lakshmi garu (Gynecologist, NRI Hospital) and her daughter Dr. Pratyusha garu visited Ashram.
On 24-03-2021 Justice K. Vijaya Lakshmi Garu, High Court Judge of A.P., visited CV and motivated all the children in setting the goals and the simple ways need to take in the right direction.
